Dekoback develops and markets products for creative baking under the Decocino brand, among others – and is thus “right on trend” according to Managing Director Sascha Hohl. In order to be able to handle the expected growth, Dekoback is investing in the planning and modernization of its logistics center at the Helmstadt-Bargen site. To this end, the company converted an existing property in the Helmstadt-Bargen industrial park near Mannheim and Heidelberg. With the expansion of logistics capacities from once 600 square meters of warehouse and logistics space to now 12,100 square meters, the company, founded in 2013, is continuing its growth course.

Efficient logistics center for growing online business

According to its own information, the dynamically growing, owner-managed company is now the number two in bakery decorations in the food retail sector, directly behind Dr. Oetker. In order to continue to successfully supply customers in food retail, discount food stores, toy and other specialty retailers, wholesale bakeries in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Poland or its own online store and online marketplaces such as Amazon, Dekoback needed “size and space”: “It was the last opportunity to expand at the site in the industrial park,” explains Managing Director Hohl.

Thus, a new logistics concept could be planned, among other things, with efficient walkways and shelf positioning. Bross & Partner also provided Dekoback with advice and support during the bidding process, for example for new social rooms, from the conception and planning to the implementation of the logistics center.
